MY STORY ALESSANDRO DE MARTINO

I didn’t start as a consultant.
I started by building something of my own.

A journey shaped by hands-on experience: entrepreneurship, people, marketing and digital systems. Skills developed in the real world before putting them to work for other businesses.

01 THE BEGINNING

I didn’t start as a consultant. I started by building something of my own.

My journey began with a university education in Economics and Business.

Like many people, I had the more traditional career paths ahead of me: working in banking, joining a large company, building a career along an established route.

But something about that didn’t feel right to me.

It wasn’t just about work. I wanted the opportunity to build something of my own, make decisions, manage my time and not necessarily be tied to an office or a city.

So I began exploring the world of digital entrepreneurship.

02 ENTREPRENEURIAL EXPERIENCE

From an idea to running a real business.

Over the following years, I developed and managed a business in the field of digital education and services.

That was where I began to understand just how complex running a business could be.

Because a business doesn’t grow simply by creating a good product or a beautiful website.

It takes people, strategies, sales processes, customer acquisition, organization and the ability to adapt when something doesn’t work.

At first, I didn’t have many of these skills.

I developed them over time by tackling real problems, working closely with specialized professionals and learning not only how to do things, but above all why to do them in a particular way.

03 SALES AND PEOPLE

I learned how to sell. Then how to build and manage sales processes.

One of the most important experiences was working in sales.

I sold directly myself, dealing with prospective customers, objections, negotiations and purchasing decisions.

Later, I worked on building and managing sales teams, taking responsibility for selecting, training and coordinating people.

I learned how to organize the work of appointment setters, understand the role of each stage of the sales process and identify where opportunities were being lost.

From generating a lead to qualifying it, from booking a call to the sales conversation and follow-up.

This experience taught me something fundamental: generating leads does not automatically mean generating customers.

A business needs a sales system in which marketing, people and processes work together.

04 MARKETING AND CUSTOMER ACQUISITION

I learned marketing by observing, studying and putting it into practice.

Another fundamental step was working on advertising campaigns and customer acquisition strategies.

I had the opportunity to observe more experienced professionals and managers up close, understanding how they approached campaigns, audience selection, messaging and offers.

Over time, I went from observing to managing campaigns directly.

I worked on advertising campaigns, creatives, sales messages, sales pages and communication strategies.

I learned how much the positioning of an offer matters, how it is presented, and the consistency between what an advertisement promises and what a potential customer finds afterwards.

But above all, I understood that marketing cannot be measured solely through views, clicks or leads.

It must be connected to the business’s sales results.

05 TECHNOLOGY AND PROCESSES

Then I started looking at everything happening behind the scenes.

As I gained experience, another problem became increasingly clear: many businesses lose time and opportunities not because they lack customers, but because of how they are organized.

Information scattered across different tools, repetitive tasks, leads that never receive a follow-up, manual processes and activities that constantly depend on someone stepping in.

That’s where my interest in the technical and organizational side of business began.

I worked on building and optimizing websites, landing pages, sales systems, customer management tools and automations.

I learned to think about how the different parts of a business connect: what happens when a new lead arrives, how it is managed, what information needs to be collected, who needs to act and which tasks can be automated.

By collaborating with professionals and testing new solutions myself, I gradually developed a more complete understanding of the digital systems that support a business.

Not just technology, then, but solutions designed to make work simpler, more organized and more efficient.

06 A NEW DIRECTION

At a certain point, I chose a new direction.

After several years, I realized that the sector in which I had built my business was no longer where I wanted to invest my time and energy.

I decided to close that chapter and focus on what had increasingly interested me along the way: understanding how companies work, identifying what could be improved and building solutions to help them operate better.

It wasn’t about starting from scratch.

It was the natural evolution of the skills and experience I had gained over the years.

Not starting from scratch.
Building on everything I learned.
07 MY APPROACH

Today I work from a different perspective.

Today, I put that experience at the service of entrepreneurs and businesses that want to improve their organization, attract and manage customers more effectively, automate tasks or develop new digital tools.

I don’t start with technology, and I don’t automatically suggest a website, a CRM or an automation.

I start by understanding how the business works.

I look for where time, resources and opportunities are being lost. Only then do I assess which changes could make a tangible difference.

Because I know the challenges of running a business, and I know that a solution has to work in practice to be genuinely useful.

08 PROFESSIONAL FREEDOM

Work I can take anywhere.

One of the reasons I was drawn to digital entrepreneurship was the possibility of building a professional life less tied to a particular location.

Over the years, that choice also allowed me to move to Tenerife, where I now work online and collaborate with businesses and professionals regardless of where they are based.

For me, it means more than simply working remotely.

It means having built, through my professional journey, the freedom to choose how and where I work.

And it is precisely this combination of entrepreneurial experience, hands-on skills and the freedom to develop new solutions that defines the way I work today.
